It seems to be a way of nature that the male has to work for the females attention. Perhaps it’s a trade off due to the fact that it is the female who holds the magic and power to the male perspective. After all it is she who creates the next generation and takes the responsibility of it while he goes to another dance, or at least that is what we often time think.
